    There are a number casinos located in the commonwealth, most on moored barges. The grandest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, an Indian gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gambling space, 1,500 slot machines, thirty table games, like blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and several types of poker; also three dining rooms, bimonthly productions, and gaming advice. An additional big Native American gambling hall is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 sq.ft., 668 slot machines, and 14 table games. Furthermore, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is open 24 hours, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four dining rooms. There are numerous other dominant Iowa gambling dens, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.

    A smaller Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a riverboat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. One more Iowa riverboat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is available never closes, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slots, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river boat gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday blackjack tournaments.

    Iowa casinos provide an exceptional amount of tax revenue to the government of Iowa, which has enabled the funding of a good many commonwealth wide projects. Tourism has increased at a fast percentage along with the request for companies and a gain in jobs. Iowa gambling halls have been helpful to the expansion of the economy, and the affection for gambling in Iowa is widespread.
