There are a number gambling dens in the commonwealth, the biggest number being on anchored riverboats. The biggest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American gambling den in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of gaming room, 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games, like blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and several varieties of poker; including 3 dining rooms, monthly shows, and gambling instructions. A further big Native American gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slots, and fourteen table games. Additionally, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and four eatery’s. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling dens, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slot machines, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend paddle wheel boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa riverboat casino, The Isle of Capri, is open 24 hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. river based casino in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday twenty-one matches.
Iowa casinos present an awesome deal of tax revenue to the government of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of a good many commonwealth wide activities. Tourism has gotten bigger at an accelerated percentage along with the requirement for services and a gain in employment. Iowa casinos have been helpful to the expansion of the economy, and the excitement for gambling in Iowa is absolute.
